Topglass was commissioned by main contractor Felix O'Hare to provide specialist glass elements for the development of client CDE Global's headquarters in Cookstown.
Applications of bolted glass systems require specialist glass engineering knowledge and advanced assembly techniques. A bespoke approach is required to overcome the unique challenges presented by each individual bolted glass project. Point and spider bolted glass fixings combined, where necessary, with supporting glass fins, channels or tension wire can be used to create the desired aesthetic while fulfilling performance requirements such as loading and structural movement capacity.
Our product range includes a wide variety of bolted glass fixings and custom glass specifications with variations in thickness, finish, toughening and lamination in line with performance criteria. Our in-house technical advisers and designers can provide a bespoke solution for the most technically challenging of bolted glass applications.
Bolted glass can be specified for glass facades and envelopes as well as lobbies, atria, scenic lift shafts and canopies. It is popular in retail and leisure applications. Bolted glass facades can encourage interaction between buildings and its on street environments by creating an open aspect - particularly effective in store fronts and public buildings.
